Reports to: Enterprise Software and Data Services Manager

Position summary: Performs complex data analysis tasks which may include data mapping, business process analysis and documentation, and compliance analysis.   The analyst should be comfortable working deeply within each of the data domains, but at the same time, must be capable of working directly with business process owners, business line managers and leadership to discuss findings, facilitate decision making, and to document and deliver results.  Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing database systems including accounting, payroll, billing and reporting, and CRM systems.

Essential functions:
• Assures the integrity of project data including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis in JD Edwards enterprise software, CRM, and other database programs.
• Collects and collates appropriate data for usage in databases and conducting related research.
• Discusses business intelligence needs or information processing needs with business process owners, business line management and leadership personnel.
• Responsible for administration, database design, security, and maintenance of assigned tasks and projects.
• Codes accurate variables form original information or data and completes statistical analyses as required.
• Monitors and maintains the quality of database systems.
• Analyzes data with standard statistical methods, interprets the results, and provides written summaries of data analyses.
• Shares the knowledge of analysis techniques and data coding with other staff.
• Documents development and support processes.
• Participates in ongoing discussions and decisions concerning data collections, study design, methodology, and data analysis.
• Analyzes for accuracy and reasonableness the outputs and extracts from various switching systems, computer servers, and other data processing equipment that are used to support billing processes.
• Assists in performing complex data processing and/or conversion procedures using a variety of systems, programs, and inputs.
• Assists in the development, design and maintenance of various required billing, financial and statistical reports to meet business and contractual requirements.
• Creates database tables, edits databases, and provides database reporting and maintenance.

Other responsibilities: 
• Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours as needed.
• Performs other work related functions as assigned.

Preferred education, experience, and skills:
• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or related field or possess equivalent work experience for the duties described.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and database programs, experience with MS-Excel, MS-Access and Crystal Reports preferred.
• Experience with MS Transact SQL query language preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One software preferred.
• Experience with CRM systems with Oracle CRM preferred.
• Proficiency with a computer terminal.
• Prior end user or access billing experience in a telephone company.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel alone.
