Reports to: Sales and New Business Development Manager
Position summary:
Responsible for assisting in developing new business and selling products and services of Hamilton in accordance with the respective business line objectives; and performing diverse clerical duties and administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound decision-making.
Essential functions:
• Assists in developing new business and selling company services and products with a focus on acquisition of new customers utilizing data circuits, data center services, business phone systems, IT network, hardware, and software support.
• Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
• Prepares and delivers action plans for effectively searching for sales leads and prospective customers.
• Maintains activity reports to track sales leads and prospective customers.
• Compiles and maintains accurate records of all pricing and sales activity for the New Business Development team.
• Assists in creating and conducting proposal presentations and RFP responses in conjunction with business lines.
• Provides timely feedback to NSC management and business line management regarding performance.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business code of ethics.
• Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
• Represents Hamilton, its employees, and services in a positive and professional manner to potential and existing customers and the communities in which we do business.
• Maintains customer database by entering customer profile and updates; prepares and distributes monthly reports.
• Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request, selecting appropriate information, forwarding information, and answering questions.
• Actively participates in educational opportunities to increase job knowledge.
• Updates managers and stakeholders by consolidating, analyzing, and forwarding action reports for the New Business Development team.
• Provides administrative support for Sales and New Business Development Manager and business line managers as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
• Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
• A two or four year degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, or related field.
• Strong record keeping and data entry skills.
• Experience with PC based and enterprise software solutions which support sales activity.
• Experience in Service Supplier Relationship Management.
Required:
• Proficient utilization of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point software.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• The ability to function independently, while supporting group functions and initiatives.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel alone.
