* Position summary: The Marketing/Graphic Design Intern will create visuals, including the layout of brochures, flyers, social media graphics and other collateral materials to provide the best sales and marketing efforts for Hamilton divisions. This might include research and analysis, conducting and creating initial design proofs for new projects, preparing/coordinating direct mail marketing materials and event assistance.
Essential functions:• Develop design ideas and create marketing materials for Hamilton business lines. Will work with a variety of media including print, web, social media, email, television and will work with media sources to coordinate and deliver advertising.
• Ensure materials are developed timely and deadlines are followed.
• Will interact with business lines to understand their needs and develop better products, websites, and applications.
• Assists the marketing team with creative ideas and provides creative input for new designs.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to make sure all essential design elements are followed and changes are made.
• Attends summer events on behalf of Hamilton.
Other responsibilities:• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Preferred education, experience, and skills:• Enrolled full-time in a post-secondary college or university in a related program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including excellent grammar and sharp attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Self-motivated, dependable individual that works well with others
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suites, website design, and MS Office Suite preferred.
