* Position summary: The Relay Project Manager provides leadership and oversight for the Relay Project Coordinators while managing a variety of complex administrative and technical work in support of relay division projects. This position ensures effective planning, coordination, and execution of projects, including contract transitions and process improvement initiatives. The Relay Project Manager collaborates closely with the Director of Account Management & Compliance and the Relay State Programs Manager to align project activities with organizational goals and compliance objectives.
Essential functions:• Provides direct supervision, leadership, and development to the Relay Project Coordinators on the account management team, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and support to achieve their goals and objectives.
• Oversees workload allocation and monitors progress to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Fosters professional development for team members through coaching and mentorship.
• Oversees aspects project management activities for Relay division initiatives, including contract transitions and process optimization, applying recognized methodologies.
• Assembles and leads cross-functional teams; establishes timelines, tracks milestones, and resolves issues proactively.
• Delivers comprehensive reporting on project status, budgets, and outcomes to management and stakeholders.
• Implements and organizes all new and existing forms, processes, etc. in central repositories and/or knowledge bases.
• Assists in the preparation and completion of recurring reports for Hamilton Relay TRS and Captioned Telephone to support internal leadership and external regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with the Director of Account Management & Compliance and the Relay State Programs Manager to align project execution with compliance objectives.
• Develops internal and external communications and presentations for a variety of internal and external meetings and other key stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluates processes to identify efficiencies and implements best practices.
• Ensures quality and accountability across all deliverables.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and shares expertise with team members through training and mentorship.
Other responsibilities:• Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours as needed.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Preferred education, experience, and skills:• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent years of related work experience.
• Five years of work experience in project management or process improvement work, preferably in the field of telecommunications relay services.
• Demonstrated management or supervisory experience with the ability to lead, coach, and develop team members effectively.
• PMI certification(s) (e.g. CAPM, PMP, PMI-ACP) a plus.
