* Position summary: Performs general receptionist duties including providing excellent customer service by greeting customers and visitors, answering calls on a multi-extension phone system, transferring calls as appropriate and assisting customers with entry level support for their service requests.
Essential functions:• Professionally answers all incoming calls quickly and routes the calls to the appropriate person/ department.
• Answers routine questions for customers as appropriate or transfers phone calls to appropriate personnel.
• Greets and assists walk-in customers.
• Stresses quality in all work situations.
• Will train to provide some Tier 1 tech support for routine customer service issues.
• Keeps inventory and orders office supplies.
• Conforms to all department attendance and performance requirements.
• Copies data and compiles records and reports; sends copies of completed records to area installers.
• Orders parts and supplies for various types of telephones, telephone and television cable.
• Attend company events to promote services.
• Stresses quality in all work situations.
Other responsibilities:• Performs all other work-related duties as assigned.
Preferred education, experience, and skills:• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel or similar computer programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
