* Position summary: Coordinates the administrative and clerical functions for the legal department in accordance with Hamilton policies and procedures. Enhances department effectiveness by tracking contracts, reviewing and drafting legal documents and communications, and coordinating projects with management.
Essential functions:• Work with legal department and business line managers to develop, review and manage contracts and other legal documents.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Lead contract lifecycle management, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract management.
• Maintain a centralized database of contracts and renewal dates.
• Conduct vendor research and vetting, as requested.
• Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless contract management processes.
• Draft and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
• Conduct research, gather data, and prepare comprehensive reports to support project planning and decision-making.
• Prepare reports, notices, correspondence, and documentation related to legal matters.
• Coordinate contract document purge, based on the Document Retention Policy and Schedule.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, personnel records, and company information.
• Coordinate and complete projects as assigned by management, ensure deadlines are met and work is completed correctly and with accuracy.
Other responsibilities:• Performs similar work-related duties as assigned.
Preferred education, experience, and skills:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• Previous experience in a compliance or regulatory role preferred. Experience in the telecommunications field a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and standards concerning the telecommunications industry a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to business operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate compliance requirements and concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient utilization of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point software.
• Experience with compliance software and GIS mapping tools a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel independently.
