Description
Hamilton Business Technologies is seeking a full-time Electrical Supervisor. This position will be responsible for leading our low voltage wiring team in the installation, repair, and maintenance of structured wiring, conduit, and pathways for security cameras, door entry, biometrics, hosted and traditional PBX systems and their associated LAN/WAN networks. Will also assist in the installation and termination of fiber optic cabling and termination. Electrician experience is required (apprentice or journeyman level), but we are willing to provide training in low-voltage systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and direct the work of the low voltage wiring team and other crew members on a construction or maintenance site.
- Execute all aspects of large cabling projects, including determining optimal cable pathways, installing and instructing on cable tray installation, tracking systems, and performing all tasks necessary to complete projects from start to finish.
- Plan and schedule wiring work, coordinate material delivery, and manage the project timeline to meet deadlines.
- Interpret blueprints and diagrams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure work quality meets project standards.
- Train, motivate, and mentor Low Voltage Wiring Technicians and apprentices.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, clients, and other contractors to ensure clear direction and progress updates.
- Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are on-site and maintain them as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of electrician experience required (apprentice or journeyman level).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to effectively work in extremes of heat and cold such as experienced in this locale.
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds and to utilize lifting equipment for additional weight.
- Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time as well as climb ladders and stairs on a regular basis.
- Ability to manipulate and use hand tools.
- Ability to work at heights and work in cramped conditions, such as crawl spaces and attics.
