Position summary: 

Conduct payroll process for 100+ employees and various human resource reporting and clerical tasks within the Human Resources Department.

Essential functions:

• Learns, understands, and applies company policy and government regulations in connection with payroll procedures.
• Reviews and processes payroll for Nedelco by maintaining all applicable information within payroll system.
• Serves as Relay payroll backup.
• Processes E-Verify information for all new hires in accordance with federal law. Receives, researches, completes, and performs all necessary follow up on unemployment claims and employment verification requests.
• Coordinates employment anniversary recognition program.
• Maintains personnel files and performs a variety of filing tasks within the department.
• Participates with other departmental staff in the completion of a wide variety of projects, as requested.
• Assists with reporting and tracking of related information on an as needed basis.
• Assists Human Resources Manager as needed.
• Attends recommended training seminars and strives to expand personal human resource and payroll related knowledge.

Other responsibilities

• Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours as needed.
• Performs similar work duties as assigned.

Preferred education, experience, and skills:

• Bachelor or Associate Degree preferred.
• 1 – 3 years of HR or compliance experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality is essential.
• Ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple assignments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
