Description
Hamilton Business Technologies is seeking to add a full-time Level II IT Technician to an established team in their Grand Island, NE office. This position is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, building, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware—including servers, networks, PCs, printers, switches, and routers—for Fully Managed IT clients, as well as providing technical support. This position has the potential to work a hybrid setting of in office/remotely in the Grand Island and Lincoln, NE areas.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains, monitors, and verifies correct operations of client’s networks, applications and hardware via multiple solutions including company provided RMM and cybersecurity software and hardware.
- Installs and configures hardware components such as servers, storage, routers, and switches.
- Responds to client inquiries about system hardware, network, and software issues.
- Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
- Consults with commercial and retail clients to understand technical needs and issues and advises clients with effective solutions.
- Provides pre- and post-sale technical solutions of both hardware and software. Assists with the related service/hardware quotation and delivers said output to clients.
- Assists in the onboarding of new Fully Managed clients.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of directly rated work experience required.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills.
- A+ and other industry technical certifications such as CCNA, MCSA or E or equivalent knowledge preferred.
- Medium to advanced understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Medium to advanced understanding of troubleshooting procedures for routers, servers, PCs and Internet in a LAN/WAN environments.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and coworkers.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to client sites without restriction.
